Mailer’s Technical Advisory Council

The MSMA is represented on the Postmaster General's Mailers' Technical Advisory Committee ("MTAC"). MTAC is comprised of 58 organizations which represent the major mail related industries in each class of mail.

The committee was established in 1966 to provide the Postal Service with information, advice and recommendations covering the technical aspects of the mail system. This includes processing, transportation and distribution.  MTAC's quarterly meetings in Washington provide a forum for the Postal Service and its customers to work together to increase efficiency.

Through MTAC, MSMA members can make direct input relative to Postal Service policies and procedures.
